AI Call Reports: when it's worth it and when it's not

Honesty before sales

We know it sounds odd for a vendor to tell you when NOT to use their product. But we’d rather be honest than have disappointed customers.

Worth it if:

You have more than 5 phone agents and can’t listen to all calls manually. At 100+ calls per day, manual evaluation covers under 5%. The remaining 95% go unanalyzed. AI Call Reports analyzes them all.

You need compliance or an audit trail. In certain industries you must demonstrate that you monitor interaction quality. Automatic transcription with analysis and archiving solves this.

You have a quality problem you can’t localize. Complaints are rising, satisfaction is dropping, but you don’t know where the issue is. Analyzing 100% of calls with sentiment detection and automatic alerts helps you find the source.

You want to coach agents based on concrete data. Transcripts with analysis are excellent training material — you show exactly what was said and what could have been different.

Not worth it if:

You have under 10 calls per day and can listen to them yourself. At low volume, automation doesn’t add enough value. The free plan with 10 calls per month is there to test.

Calls are short and transactional, under 30 seconds. “Yes, the order is ready, goodbye” doesn’t need analysis. The system automatically ignores calls below a configurable minimum duration.

You don’t have audio recording enabled on your PBX. AI Call Reports requires recordings. Without audio, we have nothing to process.

You want an AI that answers the phone instead of agents. We don’t do that. PBXTools analyzes calls after they end, not in real time.

The bottom line

If the phone is an important channel and you have volume you can’t evaluate manually, AI Call Reports is worth every credit. If not, the free plan is there to test anytime, no obligations.
